Orkut Adds Video Sharing

Orkut has added a feature to allow you to add Google or YouTube videos to your profile.

You can also bookmark videos as favorites so they are shared within your list as well.

I haven’t used Orkut in over a year now as their servers were just too slow. If they are streaming videos into Orkut, I hope they’ve upgraded their speed or the system might just stop.

However, this is a good move if Orkut is ever going to take off. Video sharing is a huge topic right now, and since Google has access to quite a few video, integrated offerings is their ticket to users and more importantly, user registration data.
